Check Out These Hints on 3 More Things You Should be Cleaning

We’ve all been guilty of neglecting certain items during cleanup: filled with nooks, crannies and crevices we just don’t want to reach. Not to mention the items we haven’t even considered cleaning. Rest easy, we’ve compiled a list of three more things you should be cleaning as part of your deep clean schedule.

Hairbrushdishrack, keyboard, brushes
Odds are you pay a lot of attention to the types of hair care you use, but are you undoing it all when you comb your hair? Cleaning your brush regularly helps ensure a healthy scalp and great looking locks.

  1. First thing’s first, you need to remove as much hair as you can from your brush. Grab your Scrigit™ Scraper to dig underneath the mat of hair and remove it all at once.
  2. Fill a sink with warm water, then add a few drops of clarifying shampoo until suds form.
  3. Soak brush up to 5 minutes, then rinse and dry on a towel until tomorrow.

Dish Rack
Keep your dishes and other kitchenware clean when you wash them! Your dish rack is one of the critical places in your kitchen you should be cleaning, particularly the utensil holder. The bottom of the utensil holder is usually out of site so you don’t notice how gross it is getting. Scrub it all clean by following a few simple steps.

  1. Prevention is key; avoid letting water pool in the drip tray. When it’s due for a deeper clean, separate the different parts of your dish rack and give each of them a good scrubbing with soap and water.
  2. Reach deep into the utensil holder and corners of the rack with your Scrigit™ Scraper wrapped in a soapy paper towel.
  3. Cure any mildew that remains by filling your sink with hot water and one tablespoon of bleach per gallon of water. Let each section of the rack soak in the mixture for two minutes, then rinse and air dry. All clean!

Keyboards
Think about how many items you touch throughout your day; your hands are certain to collect a ton of grit, grime and crumbs, not to mention germs! Give your beloved computer keyboard a wipedown.

  1. Shutdown your computer and unplug it, then flip your keyboard upside down to shake out loose debris.
  2. Spray a lint-free cloth with disinfectant spray. Don’t spray the keyboard directly. Wipe down your keyboard, and use the flat end of your Scrigit™ Scraper, possibly wrapped in the cloth, reach in between each of the keys to clean these dirt trapping spaces. Voila, clean keyboard!

They’re super easy to ignore, but one deep clean of these three overlooked items will show you just how gross the grime really gets! Conquer the stains, dust and buildup on these three items that should be cleaned on a regular basis so you can move on to better and brighter things.
