Six Must-Have Cleaning Tools
According to an article by Elizabeth Jenkins in the April 2016 edition of Redbook magazine, the Scrigit Scraper was identified as one of six “Must-Have” cleaning tools. Featured on the magazine’s cover as the “World’s Easiest Cleaning Tricks,” the article provides a wide range of hints and speed-cleaning tips for getting your house cleaner while minimizing time and effort.
Jenkins brought together five cleaning experts to provide advice for the article. These contributors include Donna Smallin Kuper, a leading cleaning and organizing expert and author of Clear the Clutter, Find Happiness; Becky Rapinchuk, a cleaning and homekeeping expert and author of The Organically Clean Home; Joey Green, cleaning guru and author of Joey Green’s Cleaning Magic; Katie Berry, author of 30 Days to a Clean and Organized House; and Meg Roberts, president of Molly Maid, a cleaning service with over 450 franchises.
And just what are the six must-have tools? According to the article, “The experts we consulted agreed that these six multitasking marvels are essential for super-quick scrubbing up.”
- Microfiber Cloths – These versatile lint-free cloths are effective for wet or dry cleaning.
- Distilled White Vinegar – Found in most kitchens for cooking and salad dressing, vinegar’s mild acidity and antibacterial properties create a wide range of cleaning uses.
- Dryer Sheets – Both new and used dryer sheets have many uses around the house.
- Scrigit Scraper – This unique pen-shaped cleaning tool provides a quick and convenient way to safely scrape off small areas of unwanted substances, remove adhesive labels, get into tight spaces, and much more, without damaging the surfaces being cleaned. It is way better than using your fragile fingernails or kitchen knives that could damage the items being cleaned.
- Dawn Dishwashing Detergent – Dawn is often cited in household hints articles for many types of cleaning tasks beyond the kitchen sink.
- Wine Away – This liquid is a nontoxic mix of fruit and vegetable extracts that removes red wine stains.
